Fees
Overview for the 2026/2027 academic year

- Gimnazija Svetozar Marković in Niš is a state (public) day gymnasium. Instruction is organised for the 2026/2027 school year beginning 01.09.2026.

Application fees

- There is no compulsory application or tuition‑style registration fee for general admission to the school for resident students. Entrance to specialised streams or the IB class requires registration for the selection process, but no published mandatory application charge is shown for general enrolment.

Tuition fees (by year group and per term)

- Regular day students (all four gymnasium year groups) are not charged annual tuition by the school; public secondary education is provided without a school tuition charge for resident students. There are no published per‑term or per‑year tuition amounts for standard state‑funded places.

- For the International Baccalaureate (IB Diploma) stream: the school operates an IBDP stream and runs a selection process for candidates. While the school provides the programme, any external IB assessment/examination fees set by the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO) are typically invoiced to IB candidates; the school may collect those charges from IB students but no school‑published per‑student IB fee schedule appears in the public admissions material. Specific IB assessment and registration charges are set by the IBO and vary by session.

Billing schedule and payment terms

- For regular state‑funded schooling there is no tuition billing schedule because tuition is not charged. When optional paid services are offered (for example preparatory courses or IB assessment fees), billing and payment timing are determined by the specific programme or administrative office; no standard school‑wide instalment schedule for fees is published for 2026/2027. Preparatory classes are organised in connection with admissions for specialised streams and IB entry.

Boarding fees

- Boarding is not applicable. The school operates as a day gymnasium and does not list a student boarding house or residential dormitory with associated fees.

Other costs or fees (typical items to expect)

- Enrollment form (upisnica): parents are required to bring an enrolment form at registration; the enrollment form is purchased separately (bookstore), so expect a small one‑time purchase cost for the form at enrolment. The school's enrolment instructions note the need to provide and/or purchase standard documents at entry.

- Textbooks and learning materials: course textbooks and required learning materials are identified for each programme/stream. Parents should expect costs for textbooks, exercise books and any optional personal study materials where these are not supplied free of charge. The school provides lists/links to textbooks and materials for pupils.

- Preparatory course fees: the school runs preparatory lessons for entrance exams to specialised streams (mathematics, physics, English, bilingual programmes). These preparatory classes are programme options; any participation charges are arranged by the school and invoiced to participants when applicable (no standard price list is published).

- IB assessment/exam fees: IB external examination and registration fees are charged by the IBO and are commonly billed to candidates through the school. The precise per‑candidate or per‑subject amounts are set by the IBO and may change each session.

Refund information

- The school does not publish a general tuition refund policy for the 2026/2027 academic year because there is no school tuition charged for state‑funded places. For optional paid services (for example preparatory courses or IB examination charges), refund or cancellation terms are handled per programme and by the school administration; specific refund policies or deadlines for those paid items are not published as a single school‑wide schedule.

Fee payment options

- For the small payable items and programme‑level charges that the school may collect (preparatory courses, IB assessment charges, material fees), parents typically pay according to the school's finance office procedures (invoicing by the school and payment to the school's finance/administration). The school lists direct contact points for admissions and administration; the accepted payment methods (bank transfer, in‑person payment or other options) are handled by the school office on a case‑by‑case basis and are not published as a single standard list. IB and external provider charges (IBO) are normally payable by bank transfer or according to the invoicing instructions the school provides when billing candidates.

Brief summary of findings and gaps

- Gimnazija Svetozar Marković is a state day gymnasium with organised instruction for 2026/2027; the school does not publish a school‑wide tuition fee schedule because standard state‑funded places are not subject to tuition. The school publishes admissions, preparatory classes and an IBDP programme, and those specific programmes may include optional or external fees (textbooks, preparatory course charges, IB examination fees). No detailed per‑year, per‑term tuition amounts, nor a public fee table for 2026/2027, were available in the published admissions and programme materials. For exact amounts or an invoice schedule for any optional paid item (preparatory courses, IB candidate fees, textbook purchases), contact the school's administration or finance office directly using the school contact details.
