Specific boarding places or fees are not listed in the tariff annex.

Other costs and optional fees

- The first-time registration fee is not refundable except for medical reasons (with medical certificate) or documented force majeure; a written refund request must be submitted before the end of the term for which the fee was charged.
- Exam registration fees (e.g., baccalauréat) are not refundable once registration has been completed.
- If an enrolled pupil leaves during a term, the trimester in progress remains due except in cases of force majeure where a prorated refund may be considered on written request before the end of the term.

To establish a PAI, families complete a form and then contact the infirmie8re to organize its implementation.

Parent Experience

History

Beginning as the Sainte-Catherine school in Moscow in 1888, the Lycée Français Alexandre Dumas expanded to a new building opposite Saint Philippe at 7a Milioutinski Street, the current home of the collège and lycée. In 1979, it moved from the embassy to the Immeuble de France, becoming an 'École d'ambassade' under a French education official; the Soviet state recognized it only under the Embassy. After renovations, the Immeuble de France site could accommodate about 300 pupils; by 1984 the school enrolled 321 pupils and taught directly from kindergarten to Seconde, with some older pupils by correspondence. In 1997 the Milioutinski building was leased to France for 49 years; renovations began in 1999 and the building was inaugurated in January 2005, placing the lycée on two sites (IDF and Milioutinski). In 2015 the Ivan Bounine nursery and primary school opened, creating three sites (IDF, Ivan Bounine, Milioutinski); a project to expand the Milioutinski site was approved in 2017, and in 2026 the Ivan Bounine site was closed.

Community

The school community is active across the three campuses, with student life organized by the Maison des Lycéens, the lycée, and the Association des Parents d'Élèves (APENG). The Bal de promo is a yearly major event; in May 2025, more than 180 people gathered for the Bal masqué à Versailles, a celebration organized by the Maison des Lycéens, the LFM, and APENG that united students, staff, parents, and alumni and created lasting memories. The school also hosts visits from Alliance Française delegations and other French-speaking partners, such as the Alliance Française delegation from Togliatti, to foster cross-regional collaboration within the French-speaking community.

Parent Teacher Association (PTA)

APENG is the Association des Parents d'Élèves du Lycée Français Alexandre Dumas. APENG ensures dialogue between parents, the lycée administration, and official institutions in Russia and France. Our objective is a good education and a happy childhood for our children, and APENG actively supports the lycée's functioning in challenging circumstances while working to strengthen its attractiveness for families and qualified teachers; engagement invites all with ideas to join us. APENG can arrange textbooks and supplies (including French-style items such as Seyès notebooks) and runs the end-of-year book fair for used textbooks, leisure books, novels, comics, games, clothing, and sports equipment. APENG can help families access AEFE scholarships and related support, coordinating with the consulate; it also assists with lost-and-found items, which are donated to Russian orphanages at year's end. APENG participates in the School Council and the Establishment Council; elections for 2025-2026 are published as APENG's platform for that term.
