History

Founded in 2008, the Samara International School was established as an autonomous non-profit organization on the basis of Gymnasium No. 3, following the initiative of the Samara region's Ministry of Education and Science. The project was carried out under the Plan for the Development of Export of Educational Services of the Samara region, approved on September 13, 2007 (No. 176), in response to requests from initiative groups of foreign citizens—representatives of large foreign companies in the region. Initially, five students were enrolled, the children of employees at Auchan and Leroy Merlin. Over the next decade, enrollment grew to 630 students, including pupils from Germany, Spain, France, Poland, Greece, Australia, and India, illustrating demand for international programs. In 2018, based on expert analysis using data from the State Statistics Service, the school was listed among reliable and attractive partners for cooperation in the Volga Federal District, ranking 10th in its activity and receiving a “Quality Star.”

Community

The school maintains an active community through events and communications. It invited prospective families to a Virtual Doors Open Day on May 21 to learn about the school and its programs for the 9–11 classes in the 2020–2021 academic year.
