History

The school is 2 Społeczne Liceum Ogólnokształcące z Oddziałami Międzynarodowymi im. Pawła Jasienicy STO, located in Warsaw. It was established in 1989 after changes in the political system. The founding body became Stołeczne Towarzystwo Oświatowe. The first director, Aureliusz Leżeński, initiated the founding of a social school with an original program during a meeting with parents and participants of a Warsaw University seminar on authorial programs. The school moved to new premises on Nowowiejska Street by a decision of the Minister of National Education, Henryk Samsonowicz, who personally inaugurated the first year in the new building.

If the candidate applies for an exemption from the exam, documents confirming eligibility must be provided; if there is a psychological-pedagogical assessment indicating the need to adjust the exam format for the candidate's specific needs, provide additional documents. Step 3: The entrance exam fee of 700 PLN must be paid to the school's account with the title 'exam fee for 2SLO (student's name)'. Electronic registrations for the entrance exams run from March 14 to April 21, 2026. After document verification, an entry card authorizing exam entry is sent; the entry card is valid with a photo ID. The entrance exam must be taken in Polish, Mathematics, and English (written); the schedule is: April 25, 2026 – Mathematics (80 minutes) (+15 minutes SPE) and English (45 minutes) (+10 minutes SPE); April 26, 2026 – Polish (120 minutes) (+20 minutes SPE).
