Admissions

1) Admissions for the 2026-2027 academic year are open to local and international applicants. Karachi American School is highly selective with small class sizes. The school offers an English-language American curriculum and an AP program, including the AP International Diploma. Classes begin in the first week of August, and applications are accepted starting in January; late applications may have no seats, and acceptance rates vary by grade. 2) All applications must include the required documentation per the admissions checklist; applications will not be processed without complete materials. Decisions are not conveyed until the application is complete. 3) Local applicants aged 6–18 complete a three-part admissions test assessing reading comprehension, mathematical computation and problem-solving, plus a writing sample. The applicant's previous grades and letters of recommendation are reviewed, and on-site screening assesses developmental readiness and behavior. Grade placement is determined by age, educational background, in-house testing, and meeting admissions criteria. 4) International applicants can apply throughout the year. Applications are processed on a first-come basis, and overseas applicants may be placed on waitlists if a grade is closed. International applicants should plan ahead due to limited seats and the potential for waitlisting. 5) Waitlists are maintained for grades that become full. Applicants must complete the admissions process and receive a formal wait-list notification to be placed on the waiting list. If a seat becomes available due to withdrawal, the notification is given on merit and the wait duration may require retesting. 6) To contact, call the Admissions Office at (92-21) 3-453-9097 Ext. 217 or 215, or email admissions@kas.edu.pk.
