In September 2003, Ibadan International School (IIS) was established by the Zard Foundation to fulfill the educational needs of both the local and expatriate communities in Ibadan. It started with 23 students and now has over 400 students from more than 15 nationalities, with over 90 staff members. IIS offers an international curriculum: the Pre-school and Junior School follow the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) and it is an IB World School; in the Senior School, students follow the IGCSE curriculum developed by the University of Cambridge Examinations Board. The Zard family, who settled in Ibadan in the early 1930s, established IIS as a formal contribution to the community. It is a co-educational day school serving children from age 6 months (Creche) to age 15 (Year 4).

Community
The school encourages parents to come into classes and share their knowledge through lectures and workshops. Parents may visit the school at any time and take an active interest in programmes and activities. A weekly Newsletter informs parents of ongoing events.
