History

Promise International School was founded by Mr. Kaung Zan and Mrs. Wah Wah Htoo, who returned to Myanmar with a vision to contribute to education. The school officially commenced in 2014 at Insein, Yangon, with 7 staff and 6 students (rising to 9 by year end). In 2016 the founders opened a second campus in Shwe-Pyi-Thar, moving about 60% of the students to the new school. In 2017 Promise started a Dual Enrollment Program with its sister institution Light House Christian Academy in the USA, allowing students to graduate from both schools. In 2020 the school planned to expand by purchasing property across the road to move primary students.

Community

Promise International School participates in Regional Student Conventions (RSC) and International Student Conventions (ISC).
