Fees
Application / registration (Inscripción)
- A non‑refundable registration (inscripción) payment is required at enrollment and must be paid to complete admission. This initial payment covers the annual special fees (quota de padres de familia, cuota SEP, credencial, seguro de vida del tutor y seguro de accidentes personales) and, for terminal year students, the certification/graduation charge.

Tuition (Colegiaturas) — structure and how it is billed
- Tuition is charged as ten monthly payments per academic year (one monthly payment for each month from September through June). Colegiaturas are considered monthly; any month started is payable in full. The ten monthly payments are grouped into two academic periods: Otoño (September–January) and Primavera (February–June), with five monthly payments per period. A change of period occurs in January; to be enrolled into the new period a student must have no outstanding debts at that time. A discount is available for full advance payment of the entire cycle when paid in the dates established by the school. A late payment incurs a surcharge of 3% monthly on outstanding balances.

Tuition — per term / per year group
- Exact monthly tuition amounts vary by program and by plantel and are applied to each semester/grade level as established by the institution. The institution publishes an initial (inscripción) charge and the monthly colegiatura that together make up the recurring payment obligation for each semester/grade. Sample components that are collected at enrollment (and which are part of the initial amount billed at inscription) include: registration, tutor life insurance, student accident insurance, parents' association fee, SEP fee, IB program fee (when applicable), and, for final‑year students, graduation/certification fees.

Billing schedule and payment terms
- Payment timing: monthly colegiaturas must be paid within the first 17 natural days of each month. Everything initiated in the month is payable in full. The school issues invoices (CFDI) automatically for payments of inscripción, colegiatura or reinscripción once the payment appears in the student account; first‑time invoice requests require completing the institution's invoicing form. If a payment reference is entered incorrectly on a bank transfer, the transfer may be returned and the amount will be credited back to the payer within the timeframe the bank/system specifies. Parents or tutors may request and receive invoices by email once payments are recorded. The treasury department can grant special payment arrangements in exceptional cases, subject to institutional approval. Nonpayment or arrears may lead to suspension of academic services and, ultimately, administrative withdrawal after the conditions stated in the school regulations.

Payment methods and administrative processes
- Accepted payment channels include: payment at bank branches using the institution's payment reference (ficha de pago), online payment portals through the institution's treasury system (Unisoft) supporting card payments (Visa, Mastercard) and some bank multipagos (BBVA, Santander), transfers via SPEI to the institution's CLABE, payment via PayPal through the institutional flow, domiciliation (automatic charges) to debit card or checking account on selected monthly dates, and automatic card charges (Visa/Mastercard; American Express accepted via specific channels). The institution issues electronic invoices automatically on receipt of payment and provides procedures for first‑time invoicing and for changing invoicing RFC. Minimum amounts and cut‑off times for same‑day processing vary by payment method. Parents are instructed to retain original payment receipts for any subsequent clarifications.

Boarding / residential fees
- Prepa UPAEP San Martín operates as a day (presencial) preparatory campus; boarding or on‑campus residence fees do not apply for this plantel.

Other mandatory and typical one‑time costs
- Elements normally included in the inscription (initial) charge: tutor life insurance, student accident insurance, parents' association fee, SEP fee, credential issuance and, for third‑year (terminal) students, certificate/graduation administrative charge. Additional charges that may be billed during the year (and whose amounts the plantel will inform at the start of the school year) include replacement ID cards, letters or certificates on request, extracurricular program fees, and specific program fees (for example, the Bachillerato Internacional program fee where applicable). Some scholarship or benefit programs (convenios empresariales, becas deportivas, becas ordinarias) may cover all or part of inscription or colegiatura in particular cases; their rules and coverage are defined by those programs.

Uniforms, materials and ancillary costs
- Uniform, school supplies, program‑specific materials and optional activity fees are charged separately by the plantel or its designated suppliers. These ancillary costs are set and communicated by the plantel at the start of the academic year. Costs for items such as uniforms, textbooks, lab consumables, transport or extracurricular activities are not folded into the standard colegiatura unless explicitly noted by the plantel.

Refund and withdrawal rules
- Cancellation of inscription: a full (100%) refund of the inscription fee is granted if cancellation is requested at least 60 calendar days before the start of classes; a 50% refund applies if cancellation is requested at least 30 calendar days before the start of classes. After those deadlines and once classes have started there is no refund of inscription. In case of definitive withdrawal during the academic period, any prepaid colegiaturas for periods not yet devengados (not yet earned) will be refunded; to process refunds the original deposit/ficha receipts must be provided and the student must not have outstanding debts. Administrative rules set conditions for reactivation, temporary leave and definitive withdrawal which affect refund eligibility.

Late payment consequences and sanctions
- Late payment: unpaid colegiaturas after the established payment window generate a monthly surcharge of 3% over the outstanding balance. Repeated nonpayment (default on two or three monthly installments, per institutional policy) may lead to immediate suspension of academic services and eventual administrative withdrawal, following the procedures in the school regulations. Past‑due accounts may be referred to external collection agencies as authorized by the treasury department.

Summary: what to expect when budgeting
- Expect an initial inscription payment that bundles several annual charges (insurance, administrative fees, IB fee where applicable and terminal‑year certification charges). Expect ten monthly tuition payments each academic year divided into two five‑month periods. Expect additional variable costs (uniforms, materials, extracurricular activities) billed locally. Accepted payment methods include bank deposit/transfer, online card payments, domiciliation and other electronic options; invoices are issued automatically when payments register. Refund windows are time‑limited; cancellation well before the start of classes yields full or partial refund of the inscription.
