Admissions
1. General approach to admission. International School of Querétaro listens to families of new entrants to help them make the best educational decision for their children. Admissions exams are designed to understand the abilities your child possesses and to determine admission. The Admissions Council oversees the process to ensure clear procedures for new entrants. 2. PreK and K1 admissions. To begin the admission process for PreK and K1, the staff provides a family, personal, and medical form to be completed online. The file is sent to the Admissions Council for pre‑enrollment authorization. An interview with the Preschool director is scheduled, along with an observation of the child before the start of the school year. 3. K2 and K3 admissions. After these documents are received, the staff sends the family a form to be filled online. The results of the evaluation are conveyed through an interview with the Preschool Director; if the family does not reside in Querétaro, the results may be emailed five business days after the exam. 4. Pre‑first through 12th grade admissions. Upon receipt, the Admissions staff sends the family the online family, personal, and medical form. The exam is administered after meeting the stated requirements, and results are provided five business days after the exam. 5. Waiting list. ISQ maintains a maximum number of students per class. If there is no seat for the requested grade, the applicant must have begun the admissions process to be placed on the waiting list. The admissions period begins in October each year. 6. IB status.
