Admissions

1. Step 1: Placement / Assessment Test. Book a placement test with the admissions team to assess the applicant and determine the appropriate year group and learning pace for the child. For Early Years (ages 3–6), an assessment test is conducted followed by an interview with the Principal or Early Years Coordinator, and the student will participate in a trial class lasting 2–3 days. All new students, except those in Early Years, must take Acmar International School's Placement/Assessment Test and attend an interview before admission. A one-time payment of RM 150 is required for Early Years, and RM 500 for Primary & Secondary, to cover the test fee. 2. Step 2: Acceptance of Offer. An acceptance offer is extended to students who meet the entry requirements. Parents must respond to the Offer Letter within seven days by completing the enrolment procedure. 3. Step 3: Enrolment payment & Paperwork. Parents pay the Total Term Fees according to the Invoice given with the Offer Letter. The recommended payment methods are online transfer, cheque or cash. Parents also need to complete and return the Application for Admission form with the necessary documents and photographs to confirm a place in the school. 4. Step 4: Books & Uniforms. Textbooks can be purchased via the school's online portal. Uniforms and exercise books can be purchased from the bookstore located on the 1st floor. A photograph of the student in uniform will be taken for issuance of the student ID card. 5. Step 5: First Day of Schooling. On the first day of school, students must report to the Admission Team in the Reception area. The team will welcome the student and assist him/her to settle in comfortably into the new school.
