Introduction

Vilniaus Spindulio progimnazija is a public, co-educational basic school in Vilnius, operated by Vilniaus miesto savivaldybė. The school uses a bespoke curriculum with Cambridge Primary for younger pupils and Cambridge Secondary for older students, serving grades 1–8 in two class groupings (1–4 and 5–8). From September 2026, Cambridge program classes will be formed in the first and fifth grades, with Cambridge Global English and broader Cambridge science and mathematics taught in English. The language of instruction is Lithuanian, with increasing English language exposure in designated subjects. The campus features a dedicated sports hall and a science and technology laboratory that was modernized with EU funds for hands‑on experiments, including optics and measurement kits. Extracurricular life is active, with robotics, ceramics, mathematics, and language clubs, plus choir and civic projects. The school participates in Cambridge forums and collaborates with Cambridge partner schools, including Vittoria International in Turin, and welcomes international exchange.
