Introduction

The Deutsche Schule Nairobi is a German curriculum school for ages 1 to 18, with Kindergarten, Primary and Secondary divisions on campus in Gigiri, Nairobi, opposite Village Market. Billing schedule and payment terms
- All fees are invoiced and charged in EUR. Proforma invoices are issued in June. Payment models available: annual payment due 31 August, or half-yearly payments due 31 August and 28 February. (Payments by quarter or semester can be arranged with written authorization from the accounts department.)
- Tuition, kindergarten and bus fees are generally due at the start of the school year (1 August) unless an alternative schedule has been agreed in writing. Non-payment may trigger reminder fees and may lead to exclusion from school activities or enrolment.
- If a child is deregistered, the deregistration period is six weeks after receipt of the written withdrawal notice. Outstanding statutory fee claims remain until a formal reduction or settlement decision is issued.

Other costs and additional fees
- All annual tuition figures quoted above include lunch; costs that are outside the school's compulsory services are charged in addition. Examples of additional costs that parents must pay separately include extra-curricular activities, optional courses, certain student workbooks or materials that the school purchases and issues, school trips and other optional services.
- Uniforms and school-shop purchases are separate costs and are handled via the school shop; these are not included in the tuition figures above and are payable by parents as required.

Refund information
- Enrolment/application fees are non-refundable. The kindergarten waiting-list fee is non-refundable unless credited to enrolment when a place is offered.
- The security deposit (EUR 1,000 per child) is refundable once the child is formally de-registered and all outstanding fees and obligations have been cleared. Transport fee reimbursement on deregistration follows the fee regulations and is handled according to the school's fee rules.
- There is no general exemption from paying for learning or teaching materials; applications for fee waivers or reductions must be submitted within the school's stated deadlines and are considered by the administration.

Admissions
1. Online inquiry: Fill out the form (about 5 minutes; non-binding). A response is provided within 3 working days. The online inquiry collects information about the child, the desired DSN area (Kindergarten, Primary, or Secondary), and the planned start date. 2.
