Introduction

Braeburn Imani International School is a co-educational, boarding day and residential community in Kenya. The school follows the British National Curriculum with additional opportunities to broaden and extend learning. In Key Stage One, English and Mathematics are taught daily, and Year 2 introduces French; in Key Stage Two, Drama is taught by a specialist, and the Performing Arts feature an annual whole‑school production. Admissions
1. The school follows the Braeburn Group of International Schools' admissions policy. 2. All applicants must provide copies of their passport or birth certificate, the previous two reports, and the leaving certificate from the previous school. 3. Age requirements are defined by year group with August 31 cutoffs, covering Pre-Creche through Year 11. 4. Year group placement is based on age. In exceptional circumstances a child may be placed in a lower year, based on substantial evidence; the school does not place children above their age band. 5. If a year group is full, new admissions will be placed on a waiting list. Waiting lists operate on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority potentially given to siblings of children who already have a place in the school. 6. Admission testing is used before and after admission to assess access to the curriculum and inform target setting. English as an additional language support is provided with varying levels by stage.
