Introduction

Bandung Independent School (BIS) is an International Baccalaureate continuum school for learners aged 2 to 18, offering the Primary Years Programme, Middle Years Programme and Diploma Programme. History
BIS opened its doors in 1972 in a converted house in Ciumbuleuit. The school is a non-profit organization governed by a dedicated group of parent volunteers guided by the school's Mission, Vision, and Values. Today, BIS is in its 52nd year serving expatriate and local families in Bandung and educates nearly 200 students on a 1.2-hectare campus just north of the city center. Community
FoBIS (Friends of BIS) is a non-profit group that supports the BIS community and helps organize parental involvement in school life.
