Christ Junior College is an educational initiative of Dharmaram College under Christ Educational Society. The Institution began as Christ College in 1969, with Bangalore University approving Pre-University courses and the foundation stone for the college building laid on September 24, 1966 by Rt. Rev. Joseph Caprio. A separate Pre-University college came into existence as Christ Junior College in 2002 on the campus of present CHRIST (Deemed to be University), bifurcating the pre-university course from Christ College. CHRIST (Deemed to be University) was established in 2008, and Christ Junior College expanded its academic offerings as part of this educational lineage. The college has grown from about 300 students in its early years to around 2,400 students with roughly 100 faculty members.

Admissions

Application for the academic year 2027–28 is online-only and follows dates announced by the Department of PU Education, Government of Karnataka, after the Karnataka SSLC results. The online application form is the only mode and the college does not entertain any agents to procure admissions. Applicants must have completed Karnataka SSLC or an equivalent examination recognized by the Department of Pre-University Education, Karnataka. Applicants must register online by entering NAME as printed on the Class 10 Marks Card and EMAIL-ID; a registration confirmation will be sent to the registered email; there will be no corrections after registration. An applicant can apply for all available combinations using the same Login ID. Fee structure for all combinations will be available at the time of admission. Current year passed candidates who have studied in Karnataka will be given preference. The candidates accompanied by parents are expected to meet the Principal for an interview on the stipulated date. Both parents and ward must attend the counselling session. Admission will be denied if a candidate fails to join within the stipulated time. No donations are accepted and there are no agents through whom admission can be procured. You are strongly advised not to pay anyone for admission. The selection of candidates for admission is based on the aggregate marks secured in the Standard X Annual Examination. Current year passed candidates who have studied in Karnataka will be given preference; outstation students will be considered only if seats are available.
