History

Bloomingdale International School was founded in 2006 as Bloomingdale Play School by Founder and Chairman Mr Vijaya Babu Atluri. In 2016, the school adopted the International Baccalaureate curriculum and became a PYP Candidate School with a global mind. In 2018, the Galileo Campus opened and started catering to PYP 4 (Grade IV). In 2019, Bloomingdale was authorised as an IB World School for the Primary Years Programme. In 2021, it completed its Middle Years Programme authorisation, becoming the first IB MYP School in Andhra Pradesh. In 2022, Bloomingdale became a Diploma Programme Candidate School, and in 2023 it became the first and only IB Continuum School authorised for PYP, MYP, and DP.
