Introduction

Founded in 1993, Discovery School is a premier, co-educational international day school situated on a secure seven-acre campus in Zona el Molinón, Tegucigalpa. Serving a diverse, close-knit community of approximately 220 students from ages 3 to 18, the school provides a highly rigorous, U.S.-style college preparatory curriculum fully accredited by Cognia. Discovery School stands out for its exceptional personalization, maintaining a remarkably low student-to-teacher ratio that averages between 5:1 and 7:1. Instruction is fully immersive in English, incorporating Common Core and Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). High school students benefit from a robust Advanced Placement (AP) program, culminating in the opportunity to earn a U.S. High School Diploma, the AP International Diploma, and the Honduran Bachillerato. With its strong emphasis on experiential learning, comprehensive STEAM integration, and a zero-tolerance policy for bullying, Discovery School successfully prepares well-rounded, emotionally intelligent graduates for top-tier global universities.
