Admissions

Admissions

1. Schedule a Virtual Admissions Experience. Since the campus is temporarily closed, families are invited to participate in a virtual admissions experience to gain a thorough view of the school's programs and community. Scheduling a session helps families prepare the next steps in the admissions process. The virtual experience provides an overview of academics, co-curricular activities, and school culture.

2. Admissions Interview. All prospective families including students have an interview with the Admissions Director at the campus or online. It is highly recommended for both parents to attend the interview. The interview helps the school gather information and assess fit with the program.

3. Admissions Test. DCS requires prospective students to take DCS's Admissions Test. If a prospective student has taken a standardized test within the current school year at their current school, the admissions test can be waived. There is a USD 25.00 fee (except for Toddlers-Grade 3). If admitted, the fee will be credited to the student's account; otherwise, the fee is non-refundable. While the campus remains closed, an alternative assessment by the Division Counselor may be deemed appropriate.

4. Submit Supporting Documents. To expedite the process, families can present copies of required supporting documents by e-mail. Refer to admissions requirements by academic division for specifics. All students entering Grade 1 to Grade 12 who transfer from a foreign school must undergo recognition and/or equivalence of study. This procedure is a requisite for officially enrolling the student in the corresponding grade level.

5. Admissions Committee makes decision. The Admissions Committee will review the student file. Admissions decisions made by the committee are final. The Admissions Committee may use past and current academic records, recommendations from the applicant's teachers, writing samples, and any other information necessary to assess a good fit between the program, the student, and the family.

6. Family is notified about the admissions decision. The Admissions Committee may communicate the admissions decision to the family by email or by mobile phone. The family will receive details about next steps and enrollment timelines.

7. Online registration and Payment. Online enrollment is completed through the online registration and payment system. The family completes the online registration and makes the required payment to finalize enrollment. The Admissions Office confirms enrollment once the online registration and payment are processed.

8. Please deliver all documents that are required in their original form. Deliver all required documents in their original form to complete enrollment and ensure verification of records.
