Introduction

Leonardo da Vinci Campus Nauen is a private, non-profit gGmbH offering education from kindergarten to gymnasium on one campus. It delivers IB Diploma Programme and IB Middle Years Programme alongside the German Curriculum. The school uses an adaptive, student-centered model: learners choose courses and schedules, while a tutor supports groups of about 12 as the primary contact. Project-based learning is central, with cross-grade project days from grade 7 and learning organized in Interessenverbände that replace traditional class groups. Learning is digital via the GDPR-compliant DiLer platform, providing year-round access to materials. An open-teaching concept combines input, consolidation and project phases, with talent pathways in Sport, Kreativ and NaWi. Facilities include open learning landscapes with Marketplaces, Studierzimmer, Kursräume and a multifunctional room, plus an on-site psychologist and weekly therapies. Erasmus+ collaborations, a dual IB/Abitur diploma, and initiatives like Schule ohne Rassismus and UNICEF Red Hand Day reflect its international outlook. CampusKunst and language camps enrich arts and culture.

Fees

Annual tuition at Leonardo da Vinci Campus ranges from EUR 4,080 to EUR 4,920 for 2026/27.

Application fees
- No separate, fixed application fee amount is published. One-off admission-related charges (if applicable) are specified on the cost sheet that accompanies the signed school contract at offer stage.

Tuition (Schulgeld) — summary by school type (monthly basis)
- Internationales Ganztagsgymnasium: EUR 410.00 per month (maximum).
- Sport- & Kreativitätsgesamtschule: EUR 345.00 per month (maximum).
- Kreativitäts- & Ganztagsgrundschule (inkl. Hort-Anteil in Jgst. 1–4): EUR 340.00 per month (maximum).
- Mindestbetrag (reduzierte, einkommensabhängige Staffelung): EUR 10.00 per month.
- The published figures are expressed as monthly amounts. Each signed contract includes a cost sheet that sets the applicable one-off, annual and monthly amounts for that pupil. The contractual cost sheet lists the monthly maximum and any one-off or yearly charges that apply to the pupil's place.

Tuition expressed per term / per year group
- Tuition is calculated and administered on a monthly basis; the monthly contribution is the billing unit used in the school's fee calculation. Annual or term totals are derived from the agreed monthly contribution in the contract (monthly amount × number of months charged). The contract's cost sheet specifies any one-off annual fees in addition to the monthly contribution.

Billing schedule and payment terms
- The school's fee process uses a monthly contribution field in its Schulgeld‑Berechnungsbogen (calculation form); the contract's cost sheet records the applicable monthly amount and the date from which the monthly contribution is due. The calculation form includes fields for “Höhe des monatlichen Beitrages” and “Fällig ab”.
- Fees are assessed as a regular monthly contribution; the contract and cost sheet define the exact start date and the invoicing/charge period for each individual pupil.

Boarding / Internat fees
- Boarding is offered on campus (Internat / Campuswohngruppen and a Sport‑Internat are part of campus provision). Charges for accommodation, boarding and associated internat services are handled as separate items in the contractual cost sheet and billing; the contractual cost sheet sets the applicable boarding fees for each boarding place. No fixed boarding price table is published in the general fee information.

Other costs and typical additional charges
- One-off and annual fees: The contract's cost sheet lists any one-off admission/entry fees, annual charges and other standard additional fees that apply to all pupils.
- Hort / after‑school care: For pupils in Jgst. 1–4 the published maximum monthly amount for the Grundschule includes the Hort (supervision) portion; that Hort share is determined internally and accounted for separately in the cost sheet.
- Meals / mensa: School meal provision is available; meal charges for camps or special programmes are billed separately where applicable (example: summer camp pricing shown as separate fees).
- Uniform / sports kit: School sport clothing and kit arrangements are managed by the campus; any mandatory kit costs or optional school clothing charges appear as items in contract or programme communications rather than as a single public price list.

Refunds and cancellations
- Refunds, withdrawal and cancellation terms are set out in the contractual documents and the cost sheet accompanying the school contract. The Schulgeld‑Berechnungsbogen and the contract record the payable monthly amount and the contractual arrangements that determine re‑calculation or adjustments; specific refund or termination rules are governed by the contract terms for the signed pupil agreement.

Fee payment options
- The school issues contractual cost sheets and bookkeeping instructions per pupil; standard payment channels for institutional billing practices (bank transfer / invoicing / bookkeeping) are used and further details (such as the exact account information or direct‑debit arrangements) are communicated in the contract and billing documents. Contact details for the campus secretariats are provided for billing and accounting correspondence.

How fee components appear in the contract
- Every accepted pupil receives an Aufnahmemappe (admissions pack) and a signed Schulvertrag that contains a cost sheet (Kostenblatt). The Kostenblatt contains:
- any one‑off fees (admission/administration),
- any annual charges,
- the monthly maximum Schulgeld and the ultimately agreed monthly contribution after income‑based reduction where applicable.

Notes on calculation and reductions
- The published maximum monthly amounts are ceilings; a family's payable monthly contribution is calculated using the campus' Schulgeld‑Berechnungsbogen and may be reduced on the basis of a voluntary income self‑declaration and supporting documents. The Berechnungsbogen sets out required income and expense entries and the internal calculation fields used to determine the monthly contribution. Confidentiality obligations around the disclosed Schulgeldhöhe are part of the calculation process.

Admissions

Admissions

Admission to the International Gymnasium at Leonardo da Vinci Campus follows a multi-step process.

1) 5th grade entry (bilingual orientation): The admission process runs from September 1 of the year before the start of the school year until May 30. Guardians attend an information event, either the Open Day in September or one of three information evenings held during the year, to receive detailed information. As part of the admission process, guardians participate in a mandatory Medienzeit information evening that explains the media concept and the guiding principles smartphone-free school and Social Media from 16. A get-to-know meeting with the school leadership is held; parents should bring their certificates, and appointments are arranged through the secretariat. Good behavior and performance are required in mathematics, English and German, with the overall grade sum totaling 5. A Bildungsgangempfehlung from the primary school for attending a selective class is required, since the school cannot offer a place without the legal prerequisites. A written test is required, a Brandenburg-wide requirement. An oral, profile-based test is conducted at the school in the second half of the school year. A Schnupperunterricht (trial lesson) is offered to 4th graders in December or January. If a decision is made to enter Class 5, a school contract is signed and the signed contract must be returned within 14 days after the digital contract package is sent, usually in April or May of the current school year.

2) 7th grade entry: The admission process runs from September 1 to December 31 of the previous year. Guardians attend an information event at the Open Day or at an information evening to receive all necessary information. A mandatory Medienzeit information evening is part of the process. A Kennenlerngespräch (getting-to-know meeting) with the school leadership is held; bring certificates and make the appointment via the secretariat. A Schnupperunterricht invitation may be offered in November or December (only for the 6th grade). Good grades in mathematics, English and German (sum 7) and in social behavior are required, along with a Bildungsgangempfehlung for obtaining the Allgemeine Hochschulreife (AHR). The absence of the legal prerequisites means no school place can be offered. The contract must be signed and returned by 15 December of the current school year.

3) Transfer from another grade level: If a student already attends a Gymnasium and has studied French or Spanish as the second foreign language since 7th grade, an information evening (Open Day or information evening) is attended, followed by the Medienzeit information evening. A Kennenlerngespräch with the school leadership is held; bring certificates and make the appointment via the secretariat. If places are available, trial lessons (Probeunterricht) are conducted in the desired grade. After a successful trial and the signed contract, admission to the Gymnasium is granted. A transition from another school form (Oberschule or Gesamtschule) is possible only until the start of the 9th grade with appropriate aptitude, in accordance with Brandenburg's school law (Brandenburgisches Schulgesetz, § 55).
