Governance and Ownership

Public school
Fees
Application fees
- There is no application fee for admission to the Greek Gymnasium–Lyceum of Wuppertal. The school operates as a Greek public secondary school abroad and does not charge an entrance or registration fee for students.

Tuition fees by year group (per term / per year)
- There are no tuition fees for any year group (Gymnasium or Lyceum). Education at this Greek state school abroad is provided without tuition charges for enrolled students; there are no per-term or per-year mandatory school tuition payments.

Billing schedule and payment terms
- Because the school does not charge tuition, there is no regular tuition billing schedule or termly invoice for school fees.
- Optional, chargeable items (see next section) are billed individually as they arise; payment deadlines and terms for those items are communicated at the time the activity or service is organised. Examples of optional chargeable activities (such as multi‑day school trips) are typically contracted through travel providers and billed on the timetable specified by the organiser.

Boarding fees (if applicable)
- Not applicable. The Greek Gymnasium–Lyceum of Wuppertal is a day secondary school; it does not operate boarding facilities and therefore does not charge boarding fees.

Other costs and fees (uniforms, books, trips, materials, extracurriculars)
- Mandatory school uniform: there is no school-wide mandatory uniform requirement for Greek public schools in general, and the school does not operate a boarding or private-school uniform programme that would create an obligatory uniform fee. Parents should plan for normal clothing and sport clothes for physical education.
- Textbooks and educational materials: parents are responsible for acquiring personal exercise books, stationery and, where applicable, textbooks or digital materials required for study if these are not provided free of charge through a specific programme or grant. Costs for books and supplies vary by class and subject.
- Educational trips and study visits: multi‑day or international excursions, museum visits, or other off‑site activities are chargeable and billed per participating student. Those charges typically cover travel, accommodation and entrance fees and are invoiced when the trip is confirmed; payment is collected either by the travel organiser or via the school according to the arrangements announced for each trip. Amounts vary by trip.
- Extracurricular/after‑school courses: any optional after‑school courses or paid supplementary classes (if offered) are charged separately; their fees, payment schedule and refund terms are set by the organiser for each programme.
- Voluntary contributions / fundraising: occasional voluntary contributions, fundraising or parental association collections for specific school needs or events may be requested; such contributions are voluntary and not classed as tuition.

Refund information
- Tuition refund: not applicable, as no tuition is charged.
- Refunds for optional paid activities: refunds for payments made for trips, external courses or other optional services depend on the organiser's (travel agency, course provider or event organiser) terms and on whether costs have already been committed (for example, non‑refundable travel or hotel deposits). Refunds for cancelled activities are processed according to those provider terms and the specific circumstances of the cancellation. Parents should consult the activity's payment notice or the contract issued at the time of billing for the precise refund policy.

Fee payment options
- Regular tuition payment options: not applicable (no tuition).
- Payment methods for optional charges: typical methods used for grants, school payments and external providers include bank transfer to the school's account or to the travel/service provider, and payment directly to the travel or course organiser by the methods that provider specifies (bank transfer, card or cash where accepted). Official transfers to the school or grants are commonly executed by bank transfer in EUR. Parents will be given precise payment instructions with each chargeable activity.

Summary (practical points for parents)
- No application fee and no tuition fees for any year group (Gymnasium or Lyceum).
- There are no boarding fees; the school is a day school.
- Expect occasional, itemised charges for optional activities (trips, extracurricular courses, materials) billed individually; payments are typically by bank transfer or per the organiser's instructions. Refunds for those paid activities follow the organiser's terms.
