AP Møller Skolen in Schleswig is a Danish-German Gemeinschaftsschule serving the Danish minority in South Schleswig. The campus comprises a comprehensive division (grades 7–10) and a gymnasial level (grades 11–13) within the Dansk Skoleforening for Sydslesvig. Instruction is in Danish and Danish language learning and culture are central, with teachers delivering Danish, English, German, Spanish and sciences. The school follows a fællesskolen model, keeping students in the same class where possible; at the end of grade 9 students may complete ESA and after grade 10 MSA, with the option to continue in the gymnasium within the same structure to pursue Danish student examination. The gymnasium curriculum aligns to German Fachanforderungen. Students benefit from study trips to Copenhagen and Berlin, and from choral and musical activities with partners such as Sønderjyllands Symfoniorkester; Luciaoptog traditions are celebrated. Opened in 2008 as gift to Danish community, the school emphasizes Danish language and culture.
