Introduction

Bingham Academy is an international Christian school in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, serving students aged 4 to 18 and drawing families from thirty countries. Admissions
Step 0 Admissions Criteria. Bingham Academy does not discriminate on gender, race, religion, color or national and ethnic origin in its admissions. KG1 applicants must be 4 years old on or before August 31. Applicants must complete all necessary components by the stated deadlines and pay a non-refundable application fee of $100 USD. Advancement to each phase does not guarantee enrollment. Step 1 Phase 1: Create an account. Beginning January 5, 2026 through February 6, 2026 a PowerSchool account should be created by any interested family seeking admission. After creating the account, move to Phase 2. This phase provides access to the online application and forms. Step 2 Phase 2: Online application & recommendation forms and fees. The online application should be completed by any interested family seeking admission. In addition to the application, two confidential recommendation forms are required: BA Confidential School Recommendation Form and either BA Confidential Religious Leader Reference Form (if part of a religious organization) or BA Confidential Character Reference Form (if not). All fees must be paid and all forms submitted by February 6, 2026; submission alone does not guarantee enrollment. Step 3 Phase 3: Group interviews. After an initial screening of applications, selected applicants will be invited to group interviews. Invitations are determined by applicants meeting minimum requirements, alignment with the criteria above, and available spaces in each grade level. Group interviews (by invitation only) will be held on March 10 and 12, 2026. Step 4 Phase 4: Placement testing. Following group interviews, selected applicants will be invited to placement testing.
