Admissions
Admissions for 2023/2024 are open. The application is completed on the iPad in the Admissions Office between Sunday and Thursday, 9:00 am–1:15 pm (excluding holidays) and the assessment fee is paid. Applicants must speak English. After completing the application, an online link is provided to upload all required supporting evidence; access requires the application number and documents must be uploaded within one week; the year being applied for determines the required documents. For FS1, FS2 or Y1, required documents include: Original Electronic Egyptian Birth Certificate Or Passport (Foreigner Only) including residency; 1 x Recent Passport Style Headshot Photo; Both Parents' Egyptian ID Cards or Passports (Foreigner Only); Both Parents' University Degrees/Diplomas; Vaccination History; Reports from nursery or end-of-year report for Y1; An official behavioural reference letter from the current school with school stamp (Fs2 & Y1). For Y2–Y10, documents include the above plus Academic reports from the previous two years (2019/2020 and 2020/2021); Most recent End of Term Report; An official behavioural reference letter from the current school with stamp. After the supporting evidence is processed, the child is invited for an age-appropriate assessment and cognitive interview; the assessment must be completed within two weeks of application and the schedule is based on the school's needs. Following assessments, results are marked and reviewed by a Head of Department who may request a retake; the cognitive interview may occur on a separate date; a parents' interview with a director will be arranged to learn about the family, with one or both parents welcome. After the assessment and interview, a decision is communicated; if accepted, payment must be made within three business days by bank transfer and payment details are emailed. Places are limited and timely payment secures the place. Preference is given to siblings of current MIS students, high achievers, and a balanced ratio of males and females; if no placement is available, the candidate will be placed on a waiting list and those who performed best during assessments receive the first available placement. COVID-19 safety requires masks and social distancing during assessments; only the child should be brought to the campus for safety.
