The program blends local and international curricula, emphasizes modern language study, and provides courses in English on select subjects. Laptops, tablets, and other high-tech teaching aids are standard, and inclusive education supports students with different learning needs and abilities. The school's two campuses foster a bilingual and globally minded community, aided by an active arts program—IB Film, exhibitions, and campus cinema—and a long tradition of musical productions. Extracurriculars include student exchanges, NoD Academy lectures, and events such as sports cups and the Pražský studentský summit, aligning with university preparation worldwide for international study and career opportunities.

Admissions

Admissions

1) Open Days. Attend Open Days to meet GEVO's leadership, teachers, and current students, and to see how the schools operate. GEVO Jižní Město Open Days begin with a meeting with the head teacher at 5:30 p.m. followed by a workshop for applicants, and a student-led tour. GEVO Sázavská Open Days include a head‑teacher meeting and applicant workshops, with demonstrations of learning activities (including iPads and technology). You may arrange a visit outside official Open Days by contacting the school office, but visits during Open Days are encouraged to minimize disruption to classes. Dates for the 2025/26 Open Days are published for both campuses, e.g. Jižní Město: 7 Oct 2025, 4 Nov 2025, 27–29 Nov 2025, 9 Dec 2025, 6 Jan 2026, 11 Jan 2026, 18 Jan 2026, and 25 Jan 2026; Sázavská: 8 Oct 2025, 11 Nov 2025, 27–29 Nov 2025, 9 Dec 2025, 6 Jan 2026, 17 Jan 2026, and 25 Jan 2026. 2) Application window. For the 2026/27 school year, the state admission application must be submitted between February 1 and February 20, 2026 (inclusive). The period is accompanied by information sessions and guidance through the admissions process. 3) Required documents. Applicants must submit: (a) the application for education – study; (b) a signed declaration from the parent/guardian giving consent to submission and confirming the applicant's health eligibility; (c) a copy of the term report from the 5th grade of elementary school; (d) a confirmation of disability from PPP or SPC if applicable; (e) if prior education was outside the Czech Republic, a written request for exemption from the Czech language exam (in this case the school portion of the exam is in English and Czech knowledge is verified by an interview); (f) if prior education was in a Czech school with English as the medium of instruction, a request for a written English expression in the school exam; (g) if the applicant is a foreign national, a valid residence permit by 1 September 2026; (h) a diploma from any relevant knowledge competition (district level or higher). The final high school certificate from 5th grade must be provided by 1 September 2026. 4) Entrance examinations and scoring. The admissions process uses two components: the State Unified Entrance Exam (maximum 100 points) and the school entrance exam (maximum 66 points). The state exam covers mathematics and Czech language and literature; the school exam includes a test of study prerequisites and a creative writing task. The total possible score is 166 points and determines the final ranking. 5) Ranking and examination rules. Applicants are ranked by total points across both exams. In the event of a tie for the last place, tie-breakers apply in order: higher school exam score; better result in the school exam's written expression; best performance in relevant knowledge contests (math/physics, science, history/social sciences, language olympiads, etc.); higher Czech language test score; higher school‑selected priority in the application; and, if still tied, other criteria as per GEVO's recommendations. 6) Notification and enrollment. The state results are sent to the school, which adds the school test results to determine the final ranking and reports back to CERMAT. Results are published in the DiPSy system rather than by postal mail. Appeals against admission decisions are not allowed. 7) Second round. If the required field is not filled, a second admissions round may be announced in June 2026. 8) Preparatory courses and practice tests. GEVO offers preparatory opportunities for the national entrance exams, including practice tests; information for 2026/27 will be published later in 2026 (the 2025/26 information is provided for reference). 9) Transfers. Transfers between grade levels follow statutory procedures, with admission conditional on meeting the entrance test requirements and the principal's decision. 10) Additional notes. The school provides guidance on language and admission specifics for applicants with special circumstances or language considerations and offers additional support as part of the admissions process.

Scholarships

The school offers a scholarship program to support students with financial need and to reward talented students. There is a reduced tuition category (Snížené školné) with monthly amounts from 0 Kč up to 10,687 Kč, awarded by the Stipendijní komise (Scholarship Committee) based on the family's net income and the student's academic results. The normal monthly tuition is 13,374 Kč, and the full monthly tuition is 16,408 Kč; the reduced category is intended to ensure that gifted students with limited financial means can continue their studies. Applications for scholarships are submitted by sending documentation to stipendium@gevo.cz. Funding for the scholarship program primarily comes from tuition payments above the basic rate by other families, and from financial contributions to support capable students and to provide safety nets for students whose financial situation worsens during their studies. From the 2029/30 academic year, students entering the IB Diploma Programme will have tuition increased by 30% within their respective category, and new students transferring to GEVO IB DP will pay tuition at the higher rate from the start. For higher year groups, the school offers a continued reduced-rate option and a broader scholarship framework, subject to the Stipendijní komise's decisions.
