History

The Fundación Educativa Rochester (FER) is a non-profit organization whose social investment model is philanthropy, and its purpose is to positively impact and inspire society through the design and management of environmental and social projects in Colombia. FER was constituted in 2011 and focuses on three lines of work: Conservation, Education, and Solidarity; it collaborates with Colegio Rochester and other entities. In 2014, FER signed an agreement of intent with the Unidad de Planeación Minero Energética (UPME). In 2017, FER implemented the bilingual project Inglés para Fusca for 48 primary students, launched the environmental project Siembra Árboles, Siembra Vida (12,200 trees), and started the Aliados 10 project in Chía, Cartagena, Santa Calina, and the Atlántico region. In 2021, a memorandum of understanding was signed with the Ministry of Environment.

Community

The Rochesterian Partnerships project unites the Colegio Rochester, parents, and alumni to promote the products or services each develops, generating added value for the entire community and creating opportunities for all.
