Introduction

Instituto Alemán Puerto Montt offers education from early childhood through upper secondary with an International Baccalaureate program. Admissions
1. General admission information: The school reserves the right to select applicants according to criteria defined by the establishment and available vacancies, respecting dates fixed by the school for the admissions process, and in accordance with applicable regulations. Every applicant who applies to Instituto Alemán de Puerto Montt must attend an observation or take an admissions exam. Under Law No. 21.544, a seat is allocated per level for preschoolers or students with Permanent Educational Needs (NEEP), provided there are vacancies at that level. The condition must be declared in accordance with Article 16 of Supreme Decree No. 170/2009. The corresponding documentation must be presented to the school at the time of enrollment; documentation delivered after the deadline will not be considered. 2. Vacancies: Only applications for courses that have vacancies will be admitted. The maximum class size is 23 students for Medio Menor and Medio Mayor, and 25 students from PreKinder to IV Medio; Rectoría may approve over-enrollment in certain circumstances if warranted. 3.
