Wellbeing

Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)

The school educates students in an Anabaptist Christian context and seeks to develop God-given potential across physical, intellectual, aesthetic, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being. Christ is at the center of everything we do. We are committed to developing Christ-like character in all aspects of life. Calibre cultivates excellence in all aspects of life, so students can reach their God-given potential. A Christ-centered community is rooted in meaningful relationships to support students' social and emotional development. The mission also aims to develop an appreciation of Mennonite heritage.

Mental Wellbeing

Staff are available to support students as a listening ear and guides for growth. If the way seems hard or the load heavy, students are encouraged to talk with a staff member or with peers. Daily chapels, worship opportunities, and Discipleship activities foster spiritual and emotional well-being. The school emphasizes supportive relationships and faith formation as part of student life.

Safeguarding

MCI seeks to nurture a community of trust and the safety and security of all members, spaces, and property. The Code of Conduct outlines expectations for respectful behavior and discipline, with processes involving staff, deans, parents, and, if necessary, the board. Disciplinary decisions are made with care for individuals and the broader community to restore healthy relationships. Safety measures address issues such as secure entry to spaces, dormitory safety, and consequences for violations, including potential suspension or expulsion.
