Admissions

Admissions

1. Start Online Application Now. Luther College High School uses an online general admissions application for all applicants; there is no longer a paper application and all applicants must apply online. Applications are being accepted for September 2026, with spaces for Grade 9 limited and expected to fill quickly. For information about a second semester start (end of January 2026), contact admissions directly. 2. Gather required information. Before you start the application, have a unique student email and a unique parent email, a family friend or pastor email for reference, a current teacher or principal email, the student's Saskatchewan health card, an electronic copy of the most recent report card, and a non‑refundable $100 application fee. 3. Complete the online application. Complete the questions in the Open Apply system; the applicant will create an account to save progress and will receive an email with a link to view their applicant status page. 4. EAL assessment if needed. All English as an additional language students must complete an EAL assessment before the application is reviewed; if required, an additional tuition charge applies. 5. Submit all components. Applications will not be reviewed until all components are received, including the general information form, student profile, confidential reports, the latest report card, the $100 fee, and any required EAL results. 6. Processing and decision. Processing takes up to four weeks from a complete submission, and decisions are communicated by email. 7. Upon acceptance. A tuition deposit of $1,000 is due to reserve the student's spot; the deposit is non‑refundable after April 30; accepted families complete admission acceptance forms via Open Apply to finalize. 8. Residency and on‑campus housing note. Saskatchewan residency is defined by provincial regulations; proof of Saskatchewan residence can be requested, and students living with parents outside Regina (100 km radius) must reside in the on‑campus dormitory. 9. International and on‑campus boarding. International students may live in the on‑campus dormitory and are subject to on‑campus housing requirements.

Scholarships

Entrance Scholarships are offered to new Grade 9 Saskatchewan students who meet admission standards and demonstrate academic potential, community involvement and good character; most are merit‑based and applied as a credit toward tuition; a started admissions application is required to apply. The deadline to apply is March 1, 2026. Scholarships include several named awards with specified values (e.g., Dr. Leonard O. Bradley Scholarship – $1,500; Allan Christiansen Memorial Scholarship – $550; Harold & Joyce Dietrich Entrance Scholarship – $550; Erna Huget Memorial Scholarship – $800; Fredrick & Magdalena Krell Scholarship – $500; William Frederick Krell Scholarship – $800; J. Clifford MacKinnon Memorial Scholarship – $2,100). Bursaries offset tuition costs and are awarded based on demonstrated financial need; in 2023‑24, about $780,000 was distributed to roughly 20% of students; eligibility includes being a Saskatchewan or Canadian student, starting or in progress with the admission application by March 1, and completing an Apple Financial Services assessment (family portion of $68.75 to be paid). Bursaries include programs such as Community Bursary, Kramer Bursary, Nelson Family Bursary, Ritenburg Family Bursary, Oberg Family Bursary, Wohlberg Memorial Bursary, and church‑related bursaries; renewal is not automatic and requires annual application and continued need, with Apple Financial Services assessments. The bursary decisions are made by the Admissions & Bursaries Committee in March–April and communicated before April 30.
