History
JPPS-Bialik traces its origins to 1911 with The National Radical School. A splinter group named Yiddishe Folks Shulen, or the Jewish People's School, separates from The National Radical School in 1914. Between 1919 and 1923 the National Radical School becomes the Jewish Peretz School. The Jewish People's School becomes Montreal's first Jewish day school in 1927. The Jewish People's School and Jewish Peretz School merge in 1971 to form JPPS-Jewish People's School and Peretz School, with Bialik High School established in 1972; JPPS and Bialik merge in 2016 to form JPPS-Bialik, a private co-ed school offering education in English from kindergarten to secondary 5 leading to the MEQ diploma.

These visits provide opportunities to observe teachers and students in action. Step 2 Apply. Online applications are encouraged by the deadline, as space is limited. Open Apply forms can be found on the Admissions page or via the school's application platform. Deadline to Apply: Friday, November 14, 2025. Step 3 Family interview. After the application is received, families are invited to participate in a family interview for entry into K4; Grades 1–6: the Admissions Office will contact families to schedule an interview. Step 4 Student Classroom Visit. Grades 1–6: following the Family Interview, applicants are required to attend JPPS as a Student-For-A-Day. Step 5 Admissions. The Admissions Committee reviews the application after Steps 1–4. The process is selective and all applicants are considered in accordance with the school's mission, core values, and academic standards. All applications received prior to the deadline will be given equal consideration. Families will be notified of the Admissions Committee's recommendations in December 2025. Grades 1–6: admissions decisions are made on a rolling basis, with notification within ten school days following the completion of the admissions procedure. Scholarships
Tuition and Financial Aid. CAPS Program: Managed by Federation CJA, the Generation Funds CAPS program sets a maximum tuition fee payable for eligible families.
