Admissions

Admissions

Online admission applications for the 2028-2029 school year are open from September 21, 2026 to May 1, 2027. For the 2027-2028 and 2028-2029 cycles, entry to Grade 7 is handled through a waiting list: the child's name can be added to the waiting list. To have the application processed, pay the 50 CAD dossier opening fee and submit: birth certificate; most recent report card; most recent intervention plan and any relevant specialist evaluation reports. Step 1 – Dossier analysis: the dossier is assessed based in part on the student's results from the latest fifth-year report, specifically French language of instruction (reading), French language of instruction (writing), and mathematics. An applicant from an English-language school must follow the French immersion program for French language, or the enriched French as a second language program in secondary, to meet admission criteria. Step 2 – Ranking: ranking is based on academic results and the placement test. In September 2027 the student takes the online placement test, which has three components: French reading, French writing, and mathematics. Step 3 – Enrollment: because places are limited, an external team will assign a rank to the student for each education program. Admission priorities are: 1) Students of the Charles-Lemoyne International Academy (the preschool and primary school of Collège Charles-Lemoyne); 2) Current siblings attending the Collège; 3) Siblings who have previously attended the Collège; 4) Alumni parents (priority increases with years of attendance: 5, 4, 3, 2, or 1 year); 5) Residents of municipalities served by the Collège's transport. Completed dossiers must be submitted by May 1, 2027 to benefit from these admission priorities. In October 2027 families receive one of two responses: an admission offer in an education program, with enrollment finalized by paying 200 CAD to reserve the place; or an addition to the waiting list. Final admission conditions: 1st secondary – Francophone schools: acceptance is conditional on attaining 60% or higher in French (language of instruction) and in mathematics in Grade 6. Francophone: 60%+ in French as a second language through immersion and mathematics in Grade 6 for English-language students. 2nd to 5th secondary – Francophone: acceptance is conditional on 60%+ in all subjects from the previous year. Anglophone: 60%+ in all subjects from the previous year, including French as a second language in an enriched program.

Scholarships

Scholarships and financial aid: The Foundation's primary mandate is to assist families facing financial challenges. Each year, more than 80 scholarships are awarded to help students continue their education at Collège Charles-Lemoyne. The Financial Aid Program supports families in paying tuition fees, and additional scholarships may be available for student-athletes. Friends of CCL scholarships are awarded by alumni, parents, or staff and include many named awards (for example, Louis-José Houde; Danielle and Mario Cecchini; Anne-Marie Lemay; Didier Jutras-Aswad; François Gareau; Les Lou; Torrentiel Communications; François Lévesque; La famille Allardin; and others). Some awards recognize perseverance, leadership, or academic achievement, while others support specific disciplines or circumstances. The Full Scholarship offers comprehensive coverage of tuition, uniforms, supplies, meal plans, and activities for eligible students through partner foundations. The Fournier-Ethier Charitable Trust, the Remorquage PDL scholarships, and other named funds contribute multiple awards each year. The Foundation also runs major fundraising campaigns to support scholarships and student programs. For more details on individual scholarships and eligibility, refer to the Foundation pages.

Waitlist

Waitlist: After all admission steps are completed, the student's name is added to the waiting list. In October 2027, families receive either an admission offer or a place on the waiting list. An admission offer requires finalizing enrollment by the stated deadline and paying 200 CAD to reserve the place.
