École Française de Siem Reap (EFSR) is an international school in Siem Reap. The curriculum follows the Ministry of Education, with French as the main language of instruction. English and Khmer are introduced early, and EMILE enables English-language study in humanities from CP and in history from CM. EFSR is recognized by the ministry up to 6ème, with cycle 4 homologation for 3ème pending, and it is a partner of AEFE. Since 2008 it has been managed by a nonprofit parents association and uses CNED for lycée with tutors. The school emphasizes active, individualized instruction in a multilingual, intercultural environment and offers an individualized orientation project to help students enter top institutions in Asia and Europe. Facilities include a daily mediathèque with about 4,000 documents and a school dining option. Classes run 7:50 to 17:00, Monday to Friday, with extended language hours in elementary. A new campus building is underway.

The school follows the curricula defined by the French Ministry of Education. The main language of instruction is French, with English and Khmer taught as additional languages from early on. English is taught through the EMILE program, enabling humanities to be taught in English from CP onwards and history from CM onwards. The school is a French school with an international outlook that welcomes non-French-speaking students and reinforces French as the language of instruction, with a parental involvement-based support project. The school week for nursery and elementary is 24 hours, and the total week is 26 hours to include 2 extra hours of modern language teaching. The school is recognized by the French Ministry of Education as a preparatory school for the Diplôme National du Brevet and Baccalauréat exams.

1. Admissions to LFI Norodom Monineath Sihanouk in Siem Reap are regulated and subject to the agreement of the Head of School. French nationals coming from France or from a French establishment abroad approved by the French Ministry of National Education are given priority in the class indicated on the orientation decision. The school notes that specific supports for learners with learning difficulties are not provided locally. Daytime cleanliness is essential for admission to kindergarten.
2. Without entrance test: For non-French nationality students who have studied for at least one year in France or in a French establishment abroad approved by the Ministry of National Education.
3. With entrance test: For non-French nationality students who have never studied in a French establishment in France or abroad.
4. Entrance tests: The tests apply to all levels of schooling starting from Moyenne Section (MS). Registration for entrance tests is done at the school secretariat. New registrations and re-registrations are also handled at the school secretariat.
5. Head of Establishment's opinion: The Head of Establishment, depending on nationality, curriculum and available places, informs parents of his/her opinion. The opinion is final. The Head of Establishment may issue three opinions: favorable; reserved (awaiting a place or success in an entrance test); unfavorable.
Scholarships are awarded under conditions of resources and according to the applicant's financial situation. Scholarship holders must be French nationals and reside in the consular district. They must be enrolled, along with their guardian, at the consulate (verification of inscriptions is advised).
