November 1986 saw the birth of South Breeze School in Dhaka, one of the early English-medium schools to open with full classes and to refuse admission before the first class was taught. Classes started January 1987 in a rented house in Dhanmondi. Today there are campuses in Dhanmondi, Lalmatia, and a custom-built campus in Uttara, with a second large building planned in Bosila. It was among the first English-medium schools to emphasize extracurricular activities, field trips, and a forward-looking curriculum, and it introduced Mathematics Syllabus B ahead of many peers. Admission Process
1) Play Group entry: Forms are collected from the front office or via email at admissions@southbreezeschoolbd.com starting September of the academic session prior to enrollment. After submission, the child and parents are called for an interview on campus.
2) Other classes: Entry depends on seat availability. If a seat is available, collect the form from the above locations and submit it after completing it. The candidate will sit for written exams in English Language and Math, followed by a verbal interview with the parents, with questions reflecting the candidate's academic background.
3) Class IX: The candidate may be examined on some subjects they will be offering for the O Level exams.
