Primary day: six lessons per day (up to 30 per week) with three breaks for Reception and Year 1 and two breaks for Years 3–6; Registration is 8:25–8:40; morning break, lunch break (40 minutes), and afternoon sessions are scheduled. Secondary day: eight lessons per day (40 minutes each, 40 lessons per week) with two breaks and a 50-minute lunch; Registration 8:30–8:40; periods run through 15:10 with a lunch from 13:00–13:40.

The British School in Baku (BSB) offers a full schooling program for 4 to 18-year-olds with the Cambridge Advanced Level as part of the senior curriculum. BSB provides a Cambridge International Curriculum adapted from the English National Curriculum in Baku. It is the first school in Azerbaijan to be accredited by COBIS and CIS. Language Provision

BSB is an English Medium School. Primary students follow a combination of the Cambridge Primary Curriculum and the National Curriculum of England and Wales, with Azeri studies mandatory for Azeri Nationals and additional Literacy support for Non-Azeri pupils. Early Years follow the British Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). For children whose home language is not English, the school provides language support to help reach a good standard of English by Year 1. 1. Applications are accepted at any time. There are set testing times that follow a pattern throughout the year. The first application period is at the end of February, with testing then in June and, if places remain, in August. These testing windows determine when pupils are assessed for admission.

When applying, complete and return to the school office the following documents: the Application Form and the Health Form; photos; evidence of the date of birth (passport copy or birth certificate); school reports from previous schools (translated into English if necessary); and the application fee.
