The Stewart Bilingual School is a long-established family-owned nursery and primary school offering a dual French and British curriculum. The founder, Lady Anne Henderson-Stewart, began the bilingual project in London with Le Jardin d'Enfants Bilingue in 1978 and La Petite Ecole Française in 1983, one of the first London primary schools homologuée by the French Ministry of Education. In Paris, La Petite Ecole Bilingue opened in 1995, launching a pioneer bilingual school. In London, La Petite Ecole Bilingue opened at Oxford Gardens in 2010, with a Kentish Town site opening in 2012; from 2019 the Oxford Gardens site was renamed The Stewart Bilingual School and in 2023 moved to larger premises on Clarendon Road. A Bordeaux campus opened in September 2017, and today four schools operate in London, Paris and Bordeaux, all overseen by Lady Anne Henderson-Stewart.

Parents receive a School Place offer email which details the various required formalities to be completed by parents in order for the offer to be approved. The School Place offer is valid for 10 days. 3. Admission: Registration is complete once all the formalities detailed below have been fulfilled within the deadline. read the “Terms and Conditions”, the “Financial Policy” and any document attached to the email. send a copy of the child's valid passport; send copies of both parents' valid passports; in the case of divorce or separation: send a copy of the divorce or separation court order or a letter signed by both parties regarding child custody arrangements if no court order has been handed down; copies of the child's last three school reports (when available); pay the £1,200 first application fee; pay a £1,000 advance on first term fees. NB : in case of cancellation, these payments are not refundable.

The Stewart Bilingual School welcomes children of all nationalities from age 2 to 11. The school teaches a dual French and British curriculum and prepares pupils to transfer to a British secondary school, a French Lycée or an International school. 1/ MAKING AN APPOINTMENT: Arrange a visit by email or phone, mentioning your child's date of birth. Appointments help the admissions team prepare for your visit and tailor the information to your family. 2/ YOUR VISIT: You will receive a guided tour of the premises, a presentation of the school's operation, and submission of registration forms. For parents not in the UK, a close friend or relative may visit on your behalf; if you cannot visit, download and complete the relevant forms and return them to the school. 3/ PRE-REGISTRATION: Pre-registration is free of charge. You will receive an email confirming safe receipt of your application and confirmation that your child has been offered a place or is on the waiting list. Pre-registrations are processed in the order they are received. Priority is given to siblings of children already in attendance, pupils arriving from sister schools in France, and children of former pupils. If your child is placed on the waiting list, you will be notified as soon as a vacancy becomes available. 4/ TUITION: Tuition fees are subject to the Terms and Conditions; details are in the Schedule of Fees. 5/ REGISTRATION: When you receive a school place offer, complete and return the registration pack by email, post or delivered to the school within the deadline. The pack includes School Place Offer acceptance Form, Terms and Conditions, Admission policy, Financial policy, School Fees, and payment of the non-refundable first enrolment fee (£1200). Once processed, you receive confirmation of enrolment. 6/ SCHEDULE OF DATES: Registration commences immediately after the Autumn half-term holiday for the following school year. Current students have priority re-enrolment status until 15 December and confirmation of registration begins in January. Places must be accepted within 10 days of a place offer. Registration is open throughout the year, subject to places being available; a complete information pack is sent before the start of the school year with the calendar and supplies.
