Language provision The school teaches English and provides a Language Support Program to strengthen English proficiency with six hours of weekly instruction divided into online grammar classes, oral communication practice, and reading and writing development. The Pathway to University-Level English offers an English Academic Preparation (EAP) stream with flexible entry points and progression from foundational to advanced levels. Evaluation is ongoing, with a final IELTS mock exam and opportunities to showcase progress through presentations. | Language provision English is the language of instruction across TAIE's programs. The English Learning Centre offers five ESL levels (ESLAO - Level 1, ESLBO - Level 2, ESLCO - Level 3, ESLDO - Level 4, ESLEO - Level 5) with a placement test to determine each student's level. ESL courses are designed to build on prior education and English knowledge, and the program is approved by the Ontario Ministry of Education to provide essential English language skills for everyday and academic purposes. |

Admissions 1. Start the process by submitting the Application form to begin the admissions process. Two years of transcripts from the student's previous academic institutions are required once the process begins. Application fees are charged after the application is completed. The academic team will reach out promptly after the initial submission to outline next steps. 2. ESL Enrollment: All international students take English proficiency assessments. These may include IELTS, TOEFL, iBT, CAEL, CELPIP, or the Royal Crown English placement test. A Math Assessment may be required to place the student in the correct courses. The ESL Assessment determines the appropriate ESL level based on Listening, Reading, and Writing. 3. Admissions Intake: Royal Crown School features four admission intake points throughout the year to maximize learning opportunities. Flexible enrolment means students can begin at August, October, January, or March. The intake schedule supports students starting at different times during the year. The admissions team provides guidance throughout the process. 4. The University of Toronto - TAIE Excellence Award selects 5 winners annually; the winners are chosen by the University of Toronto's admission officer and are honored during TAIE's graduation ceremony. Additional scholarships include Academic Scholarships. |
