As a result, there are no boarding fees. Other costs and fees - Items explicitly excluded from the standard tuition instalment include: the single non‑refundable enrolment fee and annual enrolment renewal fee; an annual material fee (from Educación Infantil 2 onwards); sports kit and school over‑garments (bates); annual book fees when books are purchased through the school (from ESO1); school transport; some external language exam fees (from ESO1); optional morning/afternoon daycare beyond the included cycles; and certain specialised psychopedagogical or therapeutic services. - The school charges separate fees for extra‑curricular activities and seasonal programmes. Specific refund or cancellation rules for individual activities (summer courses, extra‑curricular classes, language groups) are published with those activity registrations. Fee payment options - The school accepts payment by bank transfer for the enrolment fee and records request a bank account number when formalising enrolment; payment at reception at the time of the interview is also presented as an option for the enrolment fee. History
|
History Montessori Palau Girona began in October 1967 as a school linked with the Montessori School in Girona. Founders Lluís Julià Ventura and Maria Barnadas Rigau moved it to the outskirts of the city into a nature-surrounded setting, and from the outset it was a mixed school that included cultural and sporting aspects with plans for first‑class facilities. In the 1990s the school underwent pedagogical renewal toward the Montessori Method, starting with AMI‑certified staff training and professionalising management while remaining a family‑run school. The Montessori Educational Method, together with teaching innovations and educational research, has led Montessori Palau Girona to become an internationally renowned centre with more than one thousand pupils. A new generation took over in 1991, continuing the development of the Montessori project. | History Montjuïc Girona International School was founded as a private, co-educational Catalan school serving ages 0 to 18 and teaching in Catalan, Spanish, English and French. The school follows an early-learning concept, a guiding principle that was controversial in the 1970s but is now supported by the European Union, UNESCO and the international scientific community. Its pedagogy blends Montessori principles with an open, inclusive philosophy and spaces designed to fit the needs of each age group. Beginnings recount the founder, María Eugenia Prades, describing the effort to move beyond an impersonal model and noting Dr. Rachel Cohen's influence in expanding early learning. Education and happiness are the two guiding principles, shaping a learning environment where pupils develop as well-rounded, respectful, curious, and socially engaged individuals. |
