History Concordia School Paris is a Franco-English school open to the world, where children evolve naturally in two languages and two cultures. It uses methodologies imported from around the world and meets the standards of the world's great capitals in the heart of Paris. Aurore Grierson founded Concordia School Paris and assembled an international team of French and English teachers, psychologists, and education professionals. The program blends a rigorous curriculum following both the French and English national curricula and develops transversal skills such as creativity, leadership, independence, critical thinking, public speaking, and teamwork. The school operates on two campuses in the 16th arrondissement: Maternelle at 41, avenue de la Grande Armée and Primary/Collège at 7, rue Cimarosa. | History The school was founded in 1990 by the Malherbe family after years of expatriate life. They opened a nursery and preschool in Le Pecq, and the main site in Le Vésinet followed in 1992 with primary classes. The school began as a Montessori preschool and later extended the primary curriculum on a British framework with a strong French component to ease transitions within France or abroad. In 2013, Anne-Claire Malherbe, the family's daughter, became Head of School and opened a Spanish section to support bilingual or trilingual study. In 2019, the main site expanded into a neighbouring property, adding two classrooms, a music room, and a garden. |

Malherbe International School has an open admissions policy and accepts applications throughout the academic year, including mid-year admissions. Tuition fees are detailed on the site. Children hoping to join the Spanish section program for 3-5 year olds must have a Spanish language background. Application requirements include: Application form; 2 last school reports for children entering Year 1 to Year 6 (Grande Section-CM2); Teacher evaluation form from current class teacher for children entering Year 1 to Year 6; Sample of applicant's in-class writing for children entering Year 3 to Year 6 (CE1 to CM2). We do not have any admission requirements for children entering at the pre-primary level. For local primary school applicants, a short assessment of English and Mathematics may be requested. Application package can be downloaded. Applications are open for the 2026-2027 school year. The small class size enables the school to accommodate many educational backgrounds and can be tailored in some circumstances to give extra support if necessary, including varying academic levels. Decisions about the admission of children with special educational needs are taken by the Principal based on the extent to which the school is able to meet the student's needs. Individual assessments are often required, and the school may request a recent Educational Psychologist's report to ensure that the school can meet the student's needs. Founded in 1990, Malherbe International School is a bilingual school located in the Western suburbs of Paris. |
