Mulgrave's approach to social and emotional learning is based on Martin Seligman's Positive Psychology and the PERMA model, adapted into the Mulgrave IPERMAH framework to address student wellbeing. The IPERMAH dimensions are learned and supported through the formal IB curriculum, pastoral care and support systems, curriculum enrichment opportunities, and the school's ethos and values. The campus houses multiple gymnasiums, a fitness studio, a climbing centre, a turf playing field, specialist art and design studios, a suite of well-equipped science laboratories, a modern film studio, and a comfortable cafeteria. Outdoor space includes a nature trail, playgrounds for different age groups, and a forested area that supports outdoor learning.

Collingwood School was founded in 1984 in West Vancouver, British Columbia. The Morven Campus was redeveloped in 2014 with state-of-the-art facilities. The school has grown to serve 1,260 students across two campuses.
History
Mulgrave School was established in 1993 by Linda Hamer and a group of dedicated parents, starting with 12 students in a church parking lot portable and later expanding to the North Shore Winter Club. The first capital campaign raised $32 million from the parent community to build a new Senior School, a parking lot, and the Great Hall/cafeteria. A West Vancouver campus was developed, with a West Wing opening to house preschool and Middle School spaces, as well as art and design studios, and renovated Junior School spaces. In November 2021, Mulgrave was evaluated and re-accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and Canadian Accredited Independent Schools (CAIS) for the cohesion of its community and alignment around mission, vision, and values. The school continues to develop through ongoing facility enhancements and the International Baccalaureate continuum.

Admissions
1. Intake years and space: Mulgrave accepts Preschool (ages 3 and 4), Kindergarten, Grade 7, and Grade 10. Other grades may be accommodated only if there is attrition and space becomes available. Applications for non-intake years may be submitted twice. 2. Key dates for 2026-27: Preschool (age 3) application deadline is February 2, 2026; Preschool (age 4) December 1, 2025; Kindergarten December 1, 2025; Grades 1-2 December 1, 2025 with assessments in mid-to-late January 2026 and spaces available starting February 12, 2026; Grade 3 December 1, 2025 with online assessment and interview; Grades 4-6 December 1, 2025 with assessments and interviews in early 2026; Grades 7-11 December 1, 2025 with rolling timelines; Online dates in November–December 2025 for international candidates; Financial Assistance Applications (Grades 7-11) January 30, 2026; With offer of admission; Mulgrave does not work with agents or consultants. 3. Mulgrave offers Financial Assistance (need-based) for new students in Grades 7–11, determined by a third-party financial assessment and based on demonstrated financial need and a strong applicant profile; the deadline for consideration is January 30, 2026, and families indicate interest on the application. When possible, Financial Assistance decisions are shared with offers of admission. Mulgrave also offers a Bursary Financial Aid program to current Mulgrave families experiencing unforeseen financial difficulties; bursaries are temporary (up to three years) and are determined via third‑party evaluation.
