Meal charges follow the monthly pattern noted above. Optional services and activities have separate charges and payment requirements. Optional services and other recurring fees - Extracurricular activities: monthly prices vary by activity (examples from the activities schedule include EUR 44/month for many sports and arts activities, EUR 26/month for theatre, EUR 52/month for minitennis and EUR 54/month for robotics). Optional activity fees are charged in addition to tuition and meals. - Summer camp and seasonal campus fees are charged separately and require payment to formalize registration for those programmes. Uniforms and textbooks - Uniform: mandatory for Educación Infantil, Primaria and 1º–2º of Secundaria; the school is the sole point of sale for the uniform. Cost of the uniform is charged separately at the school's uniform point of sale. - Textbooks: textbooks are not included in the registration fee and must be requested/purchased separately; a books ordering system is available for the school year. Textbook costs are additional to tuition and other fees. Boarding / residential provision - The school's published information lists day‑school services (meals, transport, permanence, extracurriculars) and does not list boarding or residential accommodation as a service; boarding fees are not applicable. Refunds and cancellations - No specific public refund or cancellation schedule for registration, tuition or meal fees is published with the fee schedule; refund and cancellation conditions are handled under the school's administrative terms. Parents should expect registration and programme fees to follow the centre's administrative conditions. How fees are paid (payment options) - Tuition, meals and optional programme fees are administered through the school's administrative office / secretary and through the school's established enrolment procedures; specific electronic payment methods (credit card, bank transfer) are not itemised in the published fee documents. For the American Dual Diploma (Diploma Dual) program a registration and annual technology fee of EUR 380.00 applies. Tuition fees by year group (annual and per-term / per-month breakdowns) - Nursery 1 (Nurs.1) — Annual: EUR 3,130.00. - Per 10-month instalment (if paid as 10 monthly instalments Sep–Jun): EUR 313.00 per month. - Nursery 2 (Nurs.2) — Annual: EUR 3,130.00. - Per 10-month instalment: EUR 313.00 per month. - Kindergarten 1 to 3 (Kindg.1 / Kindg.2 / Kindg.3) — Annual: EUR 4,240.00. - Per 10-month instalment: EUR 424.00 per month. - Primary Grades 1–4 (Grade 1 to Grade 4) — Annual: EUR 4,400.00. - Per 10-month instalment: EUR 440.00 per month. - Primary Grades 5–6 (Grade 5 / Grade 6) — Annual: EUR 4,610.00. - Per 10-month instalment: EUR 461.00 per month. - Lower Secondary / Early ESO (Grade 7–10) — Annual: EUR 4,980.00. - Per 10-month instalment: EUR 498.00 per month. - Upper Secondary (Grade 11) — Annual: EUR 5,590.00. - Per 10-month instalment: EUR 559.00 per month. - Final Year / Grade 12 — Annual: EUR 6,190.00. - Per 10-month instalment: EUR 619.00 per month. Notes on the above breakdowns: - Annual tuition figures are shown by year group (grade/age) and are presented as the total yearly tuition. - The school issues tuition invoices in July and (for programs documented in the school's conditions) prorrates the annual tuition into 10 equal monthly payments from September to June; the 10-month proration is used above to produce the per‑month figures. - If the school issues termly invoices instead of monthly instalments, a simple division of the annual fee by three will produce a per‑term figure (annual fee ÷ 3). The school's documented billing practice for the Dual Diploma program is the 10‑month prorration noted above. Billing schedule and payment terms - The school issues tuition bills in July and (where specified for a program) prorrates the annual amount into 10 monthly instalments to be collected from September through June. For the Dual Diploma program the school's rules specify that if a pupil withdraws mid‑year the family remains responsible for the instalments due through the end of the current semester. Cancellation of a Dual Diploma registration within the first five calendar days of the first semester triggers a full refund of matriculation and fees under the program's stated conditions. Boarding fees - Boarding is not an offered service for this centre; services listed for families are day‑school services (for example: canteen / comedor and school transport). No boarding fees apply. Other costs and fees (uniform, materials, canteen, transport, extra services) - School materials lists are published by year group and specific material kits are provided via the school's course start / materials pages. Parents purchase required uniforms and some materials through the school's online store (uniforms & material shop). Uniform purchases are collected at the school uniform shop. - Canteen (comedor) is provided by an external catering partner; menus and canteen registration are managed through the school. The canteen is billed separately from tuition. - School transport (bus routes) is available as a separate paid service and must be registered via the school's services. Transport is billed separately from tuition. - Additional optional charges may include extracurricular activities, specific course materials, examination fees for external testing or diploma programs, and other program‑specific fees (for example, fees associated with the American Dual Diploma are listed separately in that program's conditions). Uniform and online store terms - Uniforms and school shop products are sold via the school's online store and must be collected at the school uniform shop. The online store's payment gateway accepts card payments through the bank pasarela (Redsys). The store's refund/returns policy specifies limited returns and, in many cases, no refunds (exchanges for size rather than refunds are the normal procedure). Refund and cancellation information - Program‑specific refund rules apply. For the American Dual Diploma program a cancellation notified within five calendar days from the start of the first semester triggers a full refund of matriculation and paid fees; cancellations for subsequent semesters handled within five calendar days of the semester start allow partial refunds of amounts billed for future semesters under the program rules. For that program refunds are processed within a stated timeframe (the program document specifies reimbursement no later than thirty days after cancellation when conditions are met). - For online store purchases (uniforms) the store's policy allows a 14‑day withdrawal right for consumers from delivery; the online store's policy otherwise states that refunds are not admitted and exchanges (size changes) are permitted within the store's stated conditions. Fee payment options and practical instructions - The school's uniform online shop accepts card payments via the Redsys payment gateway. For tuition and program invoices, the school issues invoices (billing contact: contabilidad@colegiocostaadeje.com) and families should follow the payment instructions on the invoice or contact the accounting office for accepted payment methods. The school's accounting and admissions contacts and office hours are published for families to use for billing queries. History
|
History — | History At the beginning of 1986, a group of parents in the south of Tenerife sought to create a private school with personalized education. The course began in October 1986 with 35 students and two classes on municipal land provided by the Adeje City Council, and the school was inaugurated in April 1987. In 1996 a Humbi center for children aged 0 to 2 opened, followed by a 2003 expansion that housed the secretariat, administration, teachers' room and a large assembly hall. In 2012, for the 25th anniversary, a pavilion with stands for nearly 1,000 people and three outdoor tennis courts was inaugurated, and in 2019 a new ESO/Baccalaureate building began operating, giving the campus 10,000 m2. In 2022 Costa Adeje Academy was launched to prepare students for Cambridge English certifications; today more than 1,020 students from 40 nationalities are enrolled with around 120 staff. |

Community Location: Camino de Las Mantecas, 26 (El Charcf3n), 38320 San Cristf3bal de La Laguna, Tenerife, Spain. Our students well-being and development: The life and organization of the centre revolves around the achievement of the students overall wellbeing by respecting and tending to their individuality and promoting their own personal development. Active family participation: Parentss active participation and interaction with teachers and staff is encouraged, as parents are responsible for the education of their child. Freedom, Respect and Responsibility: The school educates on freedom. The respect that students must show towards their companions, families, teachers and staff emanates from this freedom. The student will always be held responsible for his own actions. Significant and Functional Learning: Teachers potentiate learning skills over teaching skills. They are submerged in a process of continual training in order to provide students with the necessary tools in order to discover and learn. Language Learning: Language learning is a fundamental achievement in the students present and future. Our curriculum includes English and French as first and second foreign languages. Healthy Development: Physical activity and sports are a fundamental pillar of student development, not only for its proven benefits but also for the values that can be associated with team sports. Healthy development should be completed with a balanced diet, therefore, we offer our own prepared meal services. Our Commitment to the Environment and to our Historical and Cultural Heritage: We are committed to respecting the environment and the historical and cultural heritage in the hopes of promoting attitudes and habits that achieve everyones participation within the educational community inside and outside of the school building. Religious Tolerance: We respect all religions, individual and collective beliefs, as long as they dont interfere with basic human rights. We have adopted the morals and values of Catholicism. Innovation, Methodology and Technology: The school is open to the consistent evolution of our world. We have adopted new technologies as means to potentiate and facilitate learning processes, and we continually evaluate educational innovations in order to implement those that contribute to a better educational method in any aspect. Educational project: Where is our starting point? In consistency with the ideology and values of Centro Educativo Brite1nico S21 La Laguna, our pedagogical model is based on the concept of “education”: “Education is the process of socialization amongst individuals of a society. It can be perceived in a series of acquired abilities, attitudes, knowledge and values, causing a change in intellectual, social and emotional order.” Learning versus Teaching: Our educational system gives way to learning as the main objective, instead of teaching. The teacher becomes an expert guide that provides the tools and information necessary for students to be submerged in a process of constant discovery. New concepts will be built upon the foundation of the students prior knowledge. Functional and Significant Learning: The “How” and “Why”: The objective is to achieve a significant and functional learning process, meaning that students acquire the tools that will allow them to resolve everyday problems efficiently, interrelate their knowledges and apply them to new situations, establish a clear relationship between what is learned and its significance and use. Methodological Innovation: Improving Our Students Experience: We live in a society that places importance on the acquisition of key competencies in order to succeed. Innovation is one of the key constants. It is important to be aware of and understand the new educational tendencies: project learning, multiple intelligences, cooperative learning, projects based on competencies, problem solving, etc. The objective is that students acquire the knowledge and key competencies of the curriculum improving their school experience, creativity and happiness. New Technologies and New Spaces: The Student at the Center of their Own Learning: In relation to innovation, new technologies have acquired a more important role in the educational system of our school. Our Technological Itinerary provides technological training for students, while at the same time shows them how a combination of resources and tools facilitate learning processes. Our spaces including the Project Room and Smart Zone allow the student to be at the very center of their own learning. Trilingual project: Multicultural society is here to stay: Learning foreign languages is one of the pillars of our educational system. The objective is that students be able to master Spanish, English and French by the end of Baccalaureate, certifying their level through the Cambridge Exams and French Alliance. Our Trilingual Project helps the process of linguistic immersion that begins during the first stage of Preschool Education. French is taught from the first year of primary school onwards. Furthermore, we have developed a program of transversal projects for Primary, Secondary, and Baccalaureate so that students use both English and French to communicate in multiple contexts. Open-mindedness and Familiarity: Family as a key element: Families play a key role in the educational system of Centro Educativo Brite1nico S21 La Laguna, not only because of their decisive role in the education of their children but also for their participation in school life. For this reason, we define ourselves as an open and familiar centre, where parents can access the facilities and interact with teachers, staff, other parents and friends while contributing to the education and development of students emotional intelligence. Together we are a team: All of this is made possible because the school has adapted a collaborative culture involving management, teachers, staff members and families. Team work is the idea we have adapted as a way to better ourselves each day. | Community The center is located in the municipality of Adeje, where tourism and services shape the economy and contribute to linguistic and multicultural diversity through immigration, predominantly from European countries. Our students reside in nearby municipalities including Arona, San Miguel, Granadilla, Guía de Isora and Santiago del Teide. The south of the island offers a wide cultural and sports offer, with cinemas, libraries, cultural centers and sports halls near the sea. Following the LOMLOE concept of co-responsibility in education, the center establishes commitments with institutions to improve educational quality. |
