BBIS was founded in 2003 and is accredited by the Lebanese Ministry of Education and the Romanian Ministry of Education. It is authorized by the International Baccalaureate Organization as an IB Continuum School offering the PYP, MYP and DP programmes. In 2017 BBIS became an IB World School authorized for the Diploma Programme (DP). In 2021 BBIS was authorized to offer the Primary Years Programme (PYP) of the IB. The curriculum supports a smooth progression from PYP to MYP to DP for students from Early Years to Year 12.
