The school was established as an independent, privately owned institution approved by Thailand’s Ministry of Education. It achieved triple accreditation from CIS, NEASC, and ONESQA in 2011 and was re-accredited by CIS in 2022. The Secondary Campus at T77 opened in 2017, expanding the school’s facilities to accommodate continued growth. Regent’s trace its origins to 1992 when Dr Virachai began with 32 rental houses in Pattaya and established The Regent’s School, Pattaya in 1995. In 1999, a Bangkok campus opened near the Thailand Cultural Centre, followed by the current Rama 9 campus in 2009 to serve Early Years and Primary students. That same year, the school entered a joint venture to start Regent’s UK in Norfolk. While Dr Virachai remains a key figure, the school is now overseen by a board and led by Principal Andy Edmonds.

1. Enquiry Families begin by completing the Online Enquiry Form available on the school website. Once submitted, the Admissions Office contacts the family to discuss the child’s needs, preferred entry date, and available year group places. The team also provides details on school tours and the next steps in the process.
2. Visit and Tour Parents are invited to take a guided campus tour, either in person or virtually, to view learning spaces and facilities. During the visit, the Admissions team explains the curriculum, co-curricular opportunities, and support services offered. Overseas applicants can schedule a virtual meeting if travel is not possible.
3. Application Submission Families complete the Application Form and submit it with supporting documents, such as passport copies, birth certificate, recent school reports, and any learning support information if applicable. An Assessment Fee is required at this stage to process the application.
4. Assessment and Interview The school conducts age-appropriate assessments for all applicants. Early Years students participate in observation-based sessions, while applicants for Year 3 and above take written or online assessments. Secondary applicants may also complete a CAT4 cognitive test and an interview with senior staff. Assessments typically last between 30 minutes and three hours, depending on the year level.
5. Offer and Acceptance Successful applicants receive an official Offer Letter within approximately one to two weeks after assessment. The offer outlines the Placement, Registration, and Security Deposit fees that must be paid to secure the place. Parents confirm acceptance by paying the required fees within the specified timeframe, after which the child’s start date is confirmed.

2. Schedule and attend an assessment or trial day. Early Years applicants attend a trial session lasting half or full day. Primary and Secondary applicants complete age-appropriate assessments in English and Mathematics, with interviews for older students. Boarding applicants from Year 4 onward also meet the Head of Boarding.
3. Receive an offer. Families are notified of the outcome within 72 hours of assessment. Offers may be conditional (e.g., IGCSE or IB Diploma offers depending on external exam results) and are issued in writing.
4. Accept and secure the place. To confirm the offer, families must submit acceptance and pay the non-refundable enrolment fee within two weeks. If confirmation is not received in time, the place may be released to another applicant.
