Billing schedule and payment terms
- Annual tuition and lunch are invoiced in regular monthly installments: standard plan is 10 equal monthly payments invoiced from September through June for most grades. Families of Grade 12 students are invoiced in 9 equal monthly payments. Invoices are issued during the first week of each calendar month and are due within one week of issuance. - School Materials & Textbooks Fee: invoiced in one installment (typically in July) to cover textbooks and grade-level materials. (This fee is invoiced separately from tuition). - Annual Bus Fee: optional; charged separately for families who register for the school bus service. Specific route/fee amounts are billed under the bus-service schedule.
Other fees and charges (examples billed in addition to tuition)
- IB Diploma examination fees: official IB exam charges plus an administrative handling fee (the school may apply an administrative surcharge to IB exam costs). - UNED fee (for Grade 12 students who take Spanish UNED examinations): administrative charge applies (example fee cited previously: €49 for UNED registration-related charges). - Graduation Fee (Grade 12): an additional one-off graduation charge (example previously published: €175). - Document/Certificate issuance fee: a small fee applies for voluntary issuance of official school documents or certificates (example previously published: €15.50). - School Materials & Textbooks Fee examples (published in prior fee schedules): Preschool materials ≈ €339; Elementary materials ≈ €357; Middle School materials ≈ €512. Specific sibling-discount rules are published in the school fee policy.
Boarding
- Boarding is not applicable; ASV operates as a day school.
Refund and withdrawal conditions
- The Enrollment Fee is non-refundable in general. Spanish consumer law permits a 14-day right of withdrawal from payment of the Enrollment Fee; withdrawal procedures and deadlines are set out in the school's fee policy. Refunds in exceptional medically documented circumstances or where the school cancels the academic year are handled under the school's refund rules. In cases of definitive or temporary withdrawal, specific penalties or reservation fees may apply (examples in published policy include non-refundable portions, administrative charges, and reservation receipts for temporary withdrawals).
Fee payment options and accepted methods
- The ASV Business Office establishes direct debit as the official payment method. Some other methods (such as card payments) may be used for certain one-off charges at the school's discretion, but direct debit is the school's primary/official payment arrangement. Parents should follow the Business Office billing instructions when completing payment arrangements.
Notes on extra costs
- Incidental costs that may arise during the year include field trips, optional co-curricular activities, external exam/accreditation charges (where applicable), sports tour/trip charges, specific course materials or kit, and replacement of items purchased at the ASV store (branded items/PE kit). These are billed as incurred or in separate invoices.
Contact for billing queries
- The ASV Business Office handles invoices, payment setup, and billing queries; families should use the school's Business Office contact to confirm payment arrangements and to request specific invoicing details for their child's grade and optional services.
Tuition fees (by curriculum) — monthly and annual - British International Curriculum: EUR 704 per month; EUR 8,448 per year (704€ × 12). The school publishes the British-model tuition as 12 monthly payments of 704€. Annual tuition for Grades 7–12 is shown as EUR 8,448. - American Core Curriculum: EUR 995 per month; EUR 11,940 per year (995€ × 12). AP courses incur an additional charge of EUR 650 per AP course. - Own Curriculum (Hub Attendance Fee): EUR 475 per month; EUR 5,700 per year (475€ × 12). This option is listed as 12 monthly payments and is shown as including Hub access and Learning Coach support; this option does not carry the Admissions Fee.
Tuition fees by year group - The published information shows a single annual tuition figure for secondary year groups (Grades 7–12) under the British model: EUR 8,448 per year. No differentiated tuition scale by individual grade within 7–12 is published. Annual totals for other curricula correspond to their monthly rates multiplied by 12.
Billing schedule and payment terms - Standard billing frequency: 12 monthly payments (monthly billing). EUR amounts above are based on 12 equal monthly instalments. - The Admissions Fee is payable prior to enrolment. - Registration Renewal Fee: EUR 500, payable annually after the Learner's first 12 months and in subsequent years. - Discounts: a 3% discount is available for paying 12 months upfront; sibling discounts are published as 5% and 7.5% off the total monthly fee (published guidance identifies the 2nd child at 5% and the 3rd child at 7.5%).
Boarding fees - No boarding programme or boarding fees are published. The school operates a hybrid model with local Hubs rather than a boarding residence.
Other costs and additional fees - AP course surcharge (American curriculum): EUR 650 per AP course. - Registration Renewal Fee (annual, after 12 months): EUR 500. - One-time first-year total example: For the British model, the first year total (Admissions Fee + first-year tuition) is EUR 10,098 (Admissions Fee EUR 1,650 + annual tuition EUR 8,448). - No published line-item for uniforms, school lunches, transport, exam invigilation/courier charges, or textbook/materials is available on the published fee pages. Where additional costs (for example, examination-related charges) may apply, they are not itemised in the publicly posted fee summary.
Refund information - The published fee materials do not include a specific refund policy or detailed refund terms for fees on the public fee pages. No explicit refund provisions are published in the fee summary.
Fee payment options - Specific payment methods (for example, which card types, online gateways, or bank transfer details) are not published on the public fee summary. The admissions process indicates that contract and payment details are provided after the onboarding step, rather than listing payment channels on the public fees page.
Brief summary of availability and limits of published fee information - Published and verifiable: Admissions Fee (EUR 1,650), monthly rates for each curriculum (British EUR 704, American EUR 995, Own Curriculum EUR 475), AP surcharge (EUR 650 per course), Registration Renewal Fee (EUR 500), sibling discounts (5% / 7.5%), and upfront-payment discount (3% for 12 months paid in advance). Annual totals can be derived by multiplying the monthly rate by 12 (for example, British annual tuition EUR 8,448). - Not published / not itemised: per-term amounts (the school uses a 12-month billing model and does not publish a termly schedule or term-by-term fees), specific fee breakdowns for items such as uniforms, transport, meals, exam invigilation/courier charges, a formal published refund policy, and the exact accepted payment channels. These items are not listed on the public fee pages and therefore are not available in the published fee summary.

Admissions
Admissions
Admissions
Admissions
1. Start the application through OpenApply, ASV's digital admissions platform. Determine the appropriate entry level for your child: PreKinder 3 if born in 2022, or Nursery for births in 2023 or 2024. Create an OpenApply account and begin the Application for Admission; you can also schedule a guided tour or apply now online.
2. Submit the Application for Admission in detail and include transcripts for the previous three academic years as appropriate. Include any standardized test scores as part of the materials. Admissions interviews and evaluations are conducted at all grade levels (Nursery through Grade 12) at the discretion of the school.
3. Admissions Evaluation is conducted as part of the comprehensive process, with English and Mathematics assessments and MAP used for English reading and Mathematics. Evaluations may take place at ASV or at the applicant's current school; if testing abroad, provide a staff contact who can supervise the examination.
4. Admissions Criteria include multiple factors such as academic suitability, evaluation results, grade level availability, educational philosophy compatibility, alumni status and English proficiency. Each Application for Admission is reviewed individually by the Admissions team to determine compatibility with ASV's standards.
5. Communicating the Decision: The school informs families by telephone, email or OpenApply about the decision. An admission requires enrollment within ten days; documents and payments not received in that period place the student on the Waiting List. Non-admission is communicated if the applicant does not meet the Admissions Evaluation requirements.
6. Waiting Pool: If there is no space in the relevant grade, the family may be placed on the Waiting Pool. When a space becomes available, ASV revisits all waiting list applications and applies admission criteria to offer the place to the most suitable candidate.
7. Starting at ASV: You will receive a Welcome email in July, or upon registration if you enroll later, with key dates, basic supplies list and your school accounts and passwords. You will also receive a Welcome email from the Principal with additional information, and all relevant details are available in the ASV OpenApply app.

Waitlist
Waitlist
ASV maintains a waiting list. If an applicant is offered a place on the waiting list, availability is typically reviewed in March when current students re-enroll for the upcoming academic year, with openings possible as late as September. When a space becomes available in the grade concerned, the school revisits all waiting list applications and applies admission criteria to offer the place to the most suitable candidate.
